Raw Garlic can reduce the risk factors for lung cancer by 44 percent – a new study claims. Even if people have the habit of smoking, then too garlic can reduce the risk of lung cancer in those people by 30 percent. A survey has been held and it is found that 40,000 people get caught by lung cancer in England and Wales.
In China, it has been found that adults are regularly eating garlic in their diet and have 44 percent less chances of getting lung cancer. Smoking is the single cause of lung cancer but yet garlic is so effective that it can still cut down the risk of cancer by 30 percent. Garlic can defend the lungs against various malignancies. It can also protect us from bowel cancer. A study held at the University of South Australia claims that garlic can slash the risk of bowel cancer by nearly a third.
Scientist at Jiangsu Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention did the comparison between people who had lung cancer and the healthy adults, the participants were 1424 lung cancer patients and 4500 healthy adults. Their lifestyle and dietary habits were checked, also their garlic intake was estimated and whether they smoke or not or how often they do smoke. The results were published online in the Journal Cancer Prevention Research; the results showed that people eating raw garlic twice a week were less likely to develop lung cancer.
